Had to defend a propane company once

Parents didn’t pay their propane tank refill bill. Propane company went by and disconnected the line to the house and removed their pressure regulator.
Parents got some dude to reconnect the line without the regulator. Pressure overwhelmed the stove regulators.
3 feet of propane fills the first floor and mom walks in with her 3 and 5 year old daughters. Mom has a lit cigarette. Propane ignights in a huge flash.
Only good news was I was a cold day and the kids were wearing heavy coats. Had burns to their hands and some to their faces.
Was bad but could have been way worse.
